Two Women Found Dead in Separate Cases in Hyderabad, Police Launch Probe
Telangana | Written by : Suryaa DeskHyderabad police are investigating two shocking cases after the bodies of women were found in different parts of the city on the same day, raising fresh concerns about safety.
The first case came to light on Tuesday, September 16, at Cherlapally railway station. Auto drivers noticed a strong smell coming from a gunny bag near the north entrance parking area and alerted police. When the bag was opened, officers found the decomposed body of a woman, aged around 35 to 40 years, dressed in a red saree. Her hands and feet were tied with ropes. The body was sent to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem.
CCTV footage revealed a man arriving at the station on Monday morning with two bags, one of them the gunny bag. He stayed in the parking lot for nearly two hours before moving to Platform 4, changing his clothes, and later boarding a train to Agartala from Platform 5. Police believe he abandoned the bag containing the body before fleeing. Senior officers, including Rachakonda Crime Wing DCP Arvind Babu, visited the site.
In the second case, locals in Kismatpura discovered the naked body of a young woman, believed to be 25 to 30 years old, under a bridge near a toddy shop. Investigators suspect she was sexually assaulted before being murdered.
Reports suggest the woman had taken an auto to Kismatpura and consumed toddy before going missing. Police are now checking CCTV footage from the area to trace her last movements and identify the suspects.
Both incidents have shocked residents and raised fears over women’s safety in the city. Separate investigation teams have been formed, and officials say efforts are being sped up to track down those responsible.
