KCR to begin yatra in Gajwel constituency

Toopran (Medak district): Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao announced that he would go on a two-day yatra in Gajwel Assembly constituency soon to meet the people of his constituency. After inaugurating the 50-bed community health centre hospital in Toopran, the Chief Minister said that he will have lunch with Toopran residents during his two-day yatra. “I could not meet you quite often because I am in the service of the nation. I am feeling lucky to see you today, he said amid roaring applause from residents of Toopran. The hospital was constructed at a cost of Rs 11 crore.

Addressing a gathering here on Wednesday, a bustling town along NH 44, he said that they will take all steps for its development and to meet the community needs of the people.

Rao issued grants on the spot for a host of facilities, including a degree college, Rs 5 crore for developing CC roads and drainage system, Rs 20 lakh for a Shaadhikhana, community hall at a cost of Rs 1 crore (in Toopran and rest five mandals in Gajwel constituency) construction of a Vaikuntha dhamam and Rs 15 lakh for the construction of the compound wall of burial ground.

The Chief Minister also directed the District Collector to consider the request made by the local elected representatives for construction of 500 additional double bedroom houses in Toopran town for the poor. He said he would revisit Toopran soon to take stock of the progress of works sanctioned. He went round the new hospital complex and expressed his happiness over the quality in construction and health services sought to be extended to the local people. Later, the Chief Minister proceeded to Gajwel to review the progress of various development projects like double bedroom houses, separate education hubs for boys and girls, vegetable and meat and fish markets, MLA Camp Office and others. The scheduled gram sabha at Markook mandal headquarters was cancelled at the last minute.

Health Minister, Dr C Laxma Reddy, Deputy Speaker, M Padma Devendar Reddy, MP, Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, MLAs, Collectors of Siddipet and Medak, P Venkatrami Reddy and Kannan Manickraj, were present.
