The State government has allotted one acre land to the TRS in each of the 28 districts to construct its party headquarters on payment of a market value of Rs 100 per sq yard i.e. Rs 4.84 lakh per acre. The new land allotment policy was approved by the State Cabinet during its previous meeting. As per the previous policy, the political parties were allotted one acre land on lease for a period of 30 years. However, the Cabinet recently decided to scrap the previous policy and introduced a new policy where land not exceeding one acre will be allotted to the recognised political parties on payment of Rs 4.84 lakh per acre.

Based on the new policy, TRS MLC and General Secretary M Srinivas Reddy approached the State government seeking one acre land for his party headquarters in all 30 districts. As per recommendations of Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA), the authorities issued necessary orders for alienation of the land to TRS party on payment of the market price. District Collectors have been instructed accordingly to complete the procedures and hand over the land upon payment of market value.
