Hyderabadi software engineer drowns in California

A Hyderabad-based techie, Raj Kiran Gottipati working in California drowned in a river where he went for a swim near San Ramon on August 12 and his body was flown back to Hyderabad on Saturday, according to Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) president Sandeep Makthala. Raj Kiran was rushed to a hospital where doctors tried in vain to revive him. He is survived by his wife and a daughter.

The mortal remains of Raj Kiran were brought to Hyderabad in the early hours of Saturday and the last rites are expected to take place in the evening. Sandeep Makthala appealed for help the members of the bereaved family as he was the sole bread earner for the family.
