Temperature may hit 35 degree Celsius by end of this month

The utmost temperature in the city rose to 34.6 degree Celsius on Monday, which was four degree Celsius above as usual and highest recorded so far during October this year.On October 10, before sudden showers made a comeback to the city, temperatures touched 34.2 degrees celsius, while the minimum temperature settled at 20.3 degree Celsius.


After sudden shower during Dasara, the city is set to experience hot and dry weather once again with mercury levels expected to heap over the next five days.On an average humidity on Monday was down to 42 percent from a high of 97 percent recorded on October 18.


Meteorologists forecast that the temperature may further increase to 35 Degree Celsius by October-end, making the weather hot and humid. "The dry weather prevailing over the city is due to absence of any thunderstorm activity or clouds. 


The temperature will be on the higher side for the next five days. It will reduce once the northeasterly and easterly winds start blowing," said Raja Rao, Meteorologist at IMD, Hyderabad.


In its weather report issued on Monday, the IMD said the southwest monsoon has takes on from the remaining parts of the country and thus from the entire nation on October 21, 2018. 


"Northeast monsoon rainfall is very likely to commence over southeast peninsular India around October 26, 2018," said the weather report. With the exit of southwest monsoon, temperatures in other districts too rose around 35 degrees.Khammam and Nizamabad recorded maximum temperatures of 36 degrees.
