Hyderabad, May 5 (IANS) Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has recovered fully from Covid-19, his personal physician said.

Both Rapid Antigen and RT PCR tests conducted on him under the supervision of his personal physician Dr M. V. Rao on Tuesday have come negative.

According to Chief Minister's Office, his blood tests were also normal. Doctors have declared that the chief minister has fully recovered from Covid.

Last week, Rapid Antigen and RT PCR tests had given mixed results. Chandrasekhar Rao, who had been in isolation since April 19 when he was found infected by Covid-19, tested negative on April 28 when Antigen test was conducted. However, RT PCR test had not thrown any definite result.

"Sometimes, the results would not be accurate as the virus's intensity is decreasing," Dr M. V. Rao had said.

KCR, as the chief minister is popularly known, had undergone CT Scan and other general medical tests at a private hospital in Hyderabad on April 21.

Doctors had said that the chief minister's lungs are normal and there is no infection in them.

KCR's son and cabinet minister K. T. Rama Rao and MP Santosh Kumar, who had accompanied him during his visit to hospital, later tested positive with mild symptoms.
